No more "black-out" dates for frequent flyer seats!

Northwest Airlines announced that there would be no black-out dates (Christmas & New Years).  During the former "blacked-out" period, the airline offered more than 50,000 seats to ten destinations from Detroit that I selected.  I checked 10 times over nine months.  Most of the seats that were available were to Buffalo, Cleveland and Toledo.  Otherwise, there were almost no seats!  My only advice is that you should keep checking, too bad there is no automated way to notify you when one becomes available.   Whole story here.

Hidden Cities, are they OK?

A court has found in favor of a traveler who was being threatened by Delta.  The airlines say they will lose $6 billion but does that mean that the public will save $6 billion?  If you live in an airline hub city and travel for business, you can save LOT$.  Use at your own risk.  Here is the story.
